Answer : Counseling is one form of treatment that has been developed to deal with some form of distress. It is a treatment that aims at helping the victim in a short time to develop self-confidence and a positive attitude to life and to empower them to take care of themselves by reinforcing and promoting their inner strength and personal qualities. Stages of counseling: There are four stages of counseling: Assessment of the client and the family: The counselor focuses on establishing trust, permits emotional outlet and starts to understand the situation. Problem solving: The counselor chooses different methodologies to analyze the problem and to come up with solutions. Implementation of the solutions: The counselor will help the client to start changing his or her behavior and to realize the solutions in his or her life. The counseling will be focusing on the results of change and on the improvement in the client\'s life. Evaluation, Follow-up and the end of the counseling. Duration of counseling: 30-40 minutes.
